Check-Out, Renewal, Fines, and Fees

In order to borrow materials, a patron must be in good standing with the library. No services may be obtained if the patron has 10 or more overdue items and/or owes $10.00. Materials circulate for varying periods of time. Generally, books and audio materials circulate for 14 days; video cassettes circulate overnight. Reference materials cannot be checked-out.

A schedule of fines and fees has been established as a penalty for late returns. Generally, fines are $.10/day. As a courtesy, overdue notices are sent at 7, 14, and 30 days past the due date. The final notice, sent at 30 days past the due date, assess the replacement cost of the materials.

Renewals may be made in person, by telephone or by access your Georgia PINES account.
