- The Macon Telegraph courier did not deliver my paper today
Call 1-800-679-6397 to report problems with the delivery of The Macon Telegraph. You will need the account number for TPL (737071) or BPL (388140)
- Patron would like to purchase a copy of "The History of Peach County, Georgia"
Patron should mail TWO CHECKS: one check for $30.00 made payable to Peach County Daughters of the American Revolution (DAR), second check for $5.00 made payable to Peach Public Libraries to cover postage.
Both checks should be mailed, together, to Attention: Jane Matthews - Peach Public Libraries, 315 Martin Luther King Jr. Drive, Fort Valley, GA 31030 - Patron requests a proctored exam
Proctoring exams will offered based on staff availability. Arrangements for proctored exams must be made with the circulation manager PRIOR to exam day. The fee for proctoring exams is $50.00 per exam session and must be collected prior to proctoring.
- Patron requests notary services
Peach Public Libraries no longer provides notary services. Notary services are available at many city and county government offices, attorney offices, and banks and other financial institutions.
- Patron would like to pay bill for "LOST" or "DAMAGED" Item
If the item record contains an item price, Evergreen will automatically create a bill for any related processing fees. Current PPL processing fee is $10.00. If the item record DOES NOT contain an item price, the item price and related processing fees will have to be manually calculated by the owning library.
If the money collected for a "LOST" or "DAMAGED" item relates to an item owned by PPL, please provide PPL Acquisition/Collection Management staff with information to update the database and order a replacement item, if necessary.
If the money collected for a "LOST" or "DAMAGED" item relates to an item owned by another PINES member library, please provide PPL Business Office with information to remit payment to owning library.
- Patron returns an item that was previously marked "LOST" or "DAMAGED" Item
Evergreen will display an Override Checkin Failure screen.
Answer "NO" to this prompt and display the item to determine owning library.
If the item is being returned AT THE OWNING LIBRARY, the item may be checked in.
If the item is NOT BEING RETURNED AT THE OWNING LIBRARY, staff should place a note on the item stating it was returned and was previously marked lost. The item should then be sent to the owning library WITHOUT CHECKING IN the item.
If the item has unfilled holds, the item may be checked in and routed to appropriate holding library.
The charges on the patron record WILL NOT BE ADJUSTED until the owning library checks the item in. If the item is flagged for a hold, it could take considerable time for the item to be returned to the owning library and the patron that is due a refund would not be issued that refund until the item is returned to the owning library.
- Refunding Payment for a recovered "LOST" Item
If a lost item is found and returned within 6 months of payment, a refund of the paid replacement value, minus the overdue fines which have accrued, will be given. The processing fee will not be refunded. The "found" materials may be returned to any PINES library, with the understanding that the owning library will be the final authority on whether the material is in acceptable condition for return. The owning library will issue a refund check to the patron via U.S. Mail. The refund check will be payable to the library cardholder on whose record the materials were circulated.
- Patron requests PAPER version of FAFSA (Free Application for Federal Student Aid)
Patrons can request a paper FAFSA by calling the Federal Student Aid Information Center at 1-800-4-FED-AID (1-800-433-3243) or 1-319-337-5665. Hearing impaired students may contact the TTY line at 1-800-730-8913. More information available at http://www.fafsa.ed.gov/index.htm
